Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the ReadMeld mobile app and website. By creating an account or using ReadMeld, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to accept these terms. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

2. The Service

ReadMeld provides personal reading tools and social-community features. Features may change, be improved, or be discontinued. Book information may come from external catalog providers and can be incomplete or inaccurate. ReadMeld does not provide or host PDF or ebook files.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant ReadMeld a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display content only as needed to operate and promote the service according to your selected visibility settings.

You must have the right to upload or publish your content. Do not post unlawful material or content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights. Private entries are not licensed for public display.

4. Community Rules

You may not:

• harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or target another person;
• post illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, deceptive, or rights-infringing content;
• send spam, manipulate engagement, or use unauthorized automation;
• attempt to access another account, disrupt the service, or bypass security controls; or
• use ReadMeld in a way that violates applicable law.

5. Moderation and Reports

Users may report accounts and content. We may review reports, restrict visibility, remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, or comply with law. Available appeal tools may be used to challenge eligible decisions.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

ReadMeld may offer optional paid subscriptions through Google Play. The price, billing period, trial or introductory terms, and included benefits are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Google Play charges your selected payment method and manages billing, cancellation, and eligible refund requests under its applicable terms.

You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Google Play account. Cancelling stops future renewal and does not normally remove access before the end of the paid period. Deleting your ReadMeld account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription. Paid access may be suspended or corrected when a purchase expires, is refunded, is reversed, or cannot be verified.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Services

ReadMeld may display advertising. The service also uses providers for authentication, notifications, book information, purchases, and related functions. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

8. Intellectual Property

ReadMeld's software, branding, interface, and original materials are owned by ReadMeld or its licensors. Except as allowed by law, you may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit them without permission.

9. Account Closure

You may stop using ReadMeld or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or close an account that materially violates these terms. Sections that must reasonably survive closure—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limitations—remain effective.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

ReadMeld is provided “as is” and “as available.” Reading statistics, goals, metadata, recommendations, and community content are informational and may contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, ReadMeld disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes and Governing Law

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Material changes may receive additional notice. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
